Sightings - WW1 & 2 Era

1927

In Cave City, Kentucky, a series of strange lights were seen in the sky. Witnesses described the lights as moving erratically and emitting a humming sound. 

1930

A large, cigar-shaped object was seen hovering over Denison, Texas, before disappearing into the night sky. The object was described as having large fins and was reportedly silent. 

1933

Harry Bruno, a travel writer, reported seeing several UFOs while on a trip to Europe. He described the objects as being saucer-shaped and moving at high speeds. 

1934

A metallic, disc-shaped object was seen over the town of Vergiate in northern Italy. The object reportedly emitted a bright light and moved erratically through the sky. 

Rex Heflin, a highway maintenance worker in Santa Ana, California, reportedly took several photographs of a disc-shaped object hovering in the sky. The incident remains unexplained. 

1937

Guglielmo Marconi, the inventor of the radio, reported seeing a strange object in the sky while conducting experiments in Rome. He described the object as being cigar-shaped and moving at a high speed. 

1938

A UFO was reportedly seen over Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, prompting the military to scramble fighter planes. The object was not identified, and its origins remain a mystery. 

1942

A group of Norwegian seal hunters reportedly saw a disc-shaped object hovering over the ice fields near Spitzbergen, Norway. The object was described as being metallic and emitting a bright light. 

During World War II, a group of American soldiers on the island of Guadalcanal reported seeing a disc-shaped object hovering in the sky. The object reportedly emitted a bright light and moved erratically. 

The Ghost Blimps

The Ghost Blimps UFO sightings refer to a series of reported sightings of strange flying objects in the skies over Long Beach, California, during the summer of 1942, during World War II. The objects were described as silver or gray, saucer-shaped or blimp-like, and appeared to be piloted or controlled by some form of intelligence.

1944

A series of rocket-shaped objects were seen over Scandinavia, and were described as being silent and moving at high speeds. Some witnesses claimed to have seen the objects crash into lakes or the sea, but no debris was ever found.

The object was said to be silver or metallic in color, and had a series of portholes or lights around its perimeter.
