Dan Wilmot
Dan Wilmot was a key witness to the Roswell incident. On the evening of July 3, 1947, Wilmot and his wife were sitting on their front porch in Roswell, New Mexico when they saw a bright saucer-shaped object with glowing lights moving across the sky at 400-500 miles per hour. Wilmot estimated that the unidentified flying object was about 20-25 feet across. Wilmot was the first to report what he and his wife had seen, and his account was reported in the Roswell Daily Record just minutes before announcements that the Roswell Army Air Field (RAAF) was in possession of a crashed object. His account is generally considered to be reliable. Wilmot's sighting is considered by many to be one of the earliest and most credible accounts of the Roswell incident.
